The Saxony subdivision was began in March of 1986 by a Texas general partnership ownedby W. Ray Rogers and Russell D. Parker. It was designated WILLOW CREEK II, or Saxony, as Willow Creek I preceded Saxony and is located just south of our community. It is composed of 286 homes and is bound by Applewood Drive to the south, FM 685 (Deputy Jessica Hollis Memorial Hwy) to the east, and the Heritage Loop Trail on the west and north sides. Saxony is one of the first organized subdivisions in Pflugerville with a governing set of by-laws and code restrictions which are administered by the Saxony Homeowners Association (SHOA).
According to the by-laws originally instituted in 1986, SHOA “was organized to help maintain the value of the homes in Saxony by enforcing all deed restrictions, laws, by-laws, other rules, maintain all common areas, signage, and promote neighborhood beautification and safety. All Saxony households are invited and needed to join yearly in order for SHOA’s mission to be fully carried out.”
Saxony residents are encouraged to participate in the annual Saxony-wide Yard Sale held the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend in late May. Look for additional information in Saxony News.
The Saxony HOA has been involved in the Pflugerville Adopt-A-Trail program for a number of years and it is fitting, as we have parts of the city trail on two sides of our community. Currently, Saxony is the only subdivision that sponsors a trail cleanup that is scheduled once or twice each year. Again, locate for further details in Saxony News.
Saxony has always been well-represented in participation in the annual National Night Out held on the first Tuesday of October. Blocks and streets (see below) usually gather together to get to know one-another and to help provide a safe community. Look for additional information in Saxony News.
